Built for the professional installation.
Forget the spaghetti of terminal blocks and jumper wires. The Gevako RS5 is designed with one goal: making your Home Assistant installation professional, safe, and organized. This is not a generic import module, but Dutch engineering built around the powerful ESP32-C6 processor – a next-gen chip that natively supports both Wi-Fi 6 and Thread.
The smartest cabinet wiring
The RS5 stands out with its internal common rail architecture. While other modules require you to power each output separately, the RS5 allows you to connect the power source just once. The module automatically distributes this across all five relays. Less wiring, fewer errors, and a much faster installation. Ideal for five lighting groups, underfloor heating manifolds, or multiple pumps on the same phase.
Electronics first
We do not believe in one-size-fits-all housings that force compromises on the circuit board. At Gevako, the quality of the PCB comes first. We design the perfect board with wide traces for 16A, safe isolation, and premium components, and then build the heat-resistant industrial ABS enclosure around it. This guarantees a robust construction with maximum cooling and safety.
Wi-Fi 6: Direct ESPHome integration
The Wi-Fi version connects directly to your home network. No hub required. Configure your relays in ESPHome, add the module to Home Assistant via Settings > Devices & Services, and you are ready to go. This is the ideal choice for straightforward installations where your router coverage is reliable. Everything runs 100% locally: if Home Assistant restarts, your relays remember their last state and resume exactly where they left off.
Thread: Mesh stability for demanding environments
The Thread version uses the OpenThread protocol over IPv6 to create a direct, low-latency connection via your Thread border router, such as the Home Assistant SkyConnect, Google TV Streamer, or Apple HomePod. Thread is a self-healing mesh protocol: the RS5 Thread acts as a Router Node, meaning it actively strengthens your network for other devices. This is the optimal choice for metal distribution boards where Wi-Fi signals often struggle.
You choose your protocol – and you can switch
Both versions are built on identical hardware. The only difference is the firmware. This means you are never locked in. If your network strategy changes, you can always reflash the module via the Gevako ESPHome installer and switch between Wi-Fi and Thread without replacing any hardware.
